Its The Time Of The Season

When loves run high…. tension, fear and repulsion running high here as we got our
first MUKADE of the season.
Jim came across it as he was about to get into the bath, resulting in a screaming, streak across the house.
We know the drill, me and Kev, he put the kettle on and I whacked the thermostat [...]

Oh What A Beautiful Morning.

Glorious sunny morning here up the mountain. I think I had about 12 hours sleep last night. After enjoying Without A Trace and then an old Meryl Streep film, set in Ireland in the 30s, which was excellent but dreadfully depressing, I managed to drag myself off to bed before getting sucked into a Japanese [...]

She’s Gone.

At last Mariel thingy is out, on the bus, no looking back, I hope she threw away those Gawd awful shorts.
Bottom 3; thought cute-but-now-boring-Jason, who Jacadamia quite rightly pointed out is the spitting image of House’s Dr Cuddy, good call Jacadamia.
Can’t look at him properly now.
Anyhoo, aside from bye bye Mariel-whatever, highlight was when Brooke [...]

Spending Time With Angels.

A long time ago, when the Earth was green, and I was pregnant with my first chicklet, a very wise friend said to me
” Babies are the angels”.
Last night I got to spend time with a beautiful, 10 week old baby and I recalled her words and you know, she is right.
This baby [...]

A Mahvellous Couple Of Days.

Spent a couple of days crying into a box of tissues watching back to back episodes of ‘Sex and the City’, the final season.
They really pulled it together well, wrapping up the stories with credibility, and lots of humour. I cried over Charlotte’ baby coming, and Miranda takng care of Steve’s Mum, Sam’s fabulous inspiring [...]

Busy Times

The rounds of health check at school have begun. While I do think it is wonderful that specialists come into the schools and check the kids for all sorts of things, the cattle call style leaves quite a lot of room for error.
The kids give urine and stool sampes, I will spare you the details [...]

Wrong Again!

Muriel didn’t get on the bus. Hope she can sell her ticket on Ebay. She wasn’t even required to show up at the bus station.
I was surprised to see Jason in the final 3.
Bye Chikezie, Doris loved you.

Dave Cook Rocked.

I was shattered last night when Dave Cook performed ‘ Billie Jean’ and it ws absolutely jawdroppingly, gobsmackingly brill. I don’t like him, his face is too shiny, but give him his due, he was great. david Enchilada was only so so, Barbie sang some sort of American National Anthem that will have billions of [...]

The One Where Joey Wraps His Head In Bubblewrap

It was tempting but we didn’t punch him. He seems to have a headwear fetish recently. He sat and watched tv with his Tae Kwon Dou protective headgear on last. ( Maybe Kev’s been beating him up behind my back?) , this morning I found him lounging on the sofa in a fetching pink Lulu [...]

It’s Raining It’s Pouring

The Old Man was snoring but as usual was out to work before 6 a.m. another 16 hour work day for him.
Torrential rain had me worried that school might be cancelled if there was a typhoon warning, which would have put the kibbosh on my plans to do absolutely nothing by myself all day. An [...]
