Kitchen Colours

To finally put your hearts at ease and see the colours of my new kitchen/dining room,
( for those who have been, the dining room is where the living room used to be), pop into your local 7/11, which for no apparent reason is now called iholdings or something,
( don’t think it will catch on) , [...]

The New Athletic Me.

So young Doris has joined a city basketball team and judging from the amount of hours she is expected to attend practice, I think she’ll be on the Olympic squad in Beijing.
Of course it isn’t enough to turn up and fill in the forms and do my share of clean up duties and make packed [...]

T.REX

For anyone who reads this and believes in the power of prayer, positive thinking, or just an Andy Sipowicz way of ‘having a good thought for’, please have a go for our friend T.Rex.
A good friend, a great man and all round terrific human being is suddenly, shockingly in the hospital and fighting the fight [...]

This appears to be the very latest game for kids.

( kuro) with yellow ( kiiro) lettering.
It can be played by pedestrians but seems to be played largely from in the car.
What you do is keep your eyes peeled for a [...]

Questions?

Obviously I sent Uncle Brick off with a letter to say we gave him permission to escort our daughter to Canada. Not surprisingly he was not questioned leaving Japan.
He WAS questioned entering Canada,( as he should be) but then NOT, leaving.
Strange!, I the actual, scar bearing mother of the kids was questioned at length [...]

The Man Rocks.

So here we are, still no bath, still no hot water, all our belongings squidged into cardboard boxes and stacked in available space.
I will be honest now and say the carpenter has kind of grown on me, we have settled into a comfortable little routine.
The other day at about 4 he said he was going [...]

The Sento.

The Sento is the public bathhouse. I LOVE the sento and so do the kids.
Thereis only one left in our little one horse town as almost everyone has their own bath now.
Inside is fabulous, all the old mosaic tiles, the ads on the walls hark back to the days of
4 or 5 digit phone [...]
