Conversations with teenagers .

The mother; Wont you be cold in your sandals?

The teenager; I haven’t got any other shoes.

The mother; What about your trainers.

The teenager; I can’t wear them without socks.

The mother: Why don’t you put some socks on?

The teenager; I haven’t got any socks.

The mother; I just put loads in your drawer.

The teenager; They are school socks.

The mother; What’s wrong with school socks.

The teenager; I am not wearing them out of school.

The mother; Why not?

The teenager; Why do you think?

The mother; I don’t know

The teenager; Cos its crap to wear them without your uniform.

The mother; So why don’t you wear some other socks?

Because I haven’t got any.

Why not?

because you never buy me any.

So lets get you some.

There’s no point.

why?

cos you wont buy me the ones I want.

well lets buy you the ones you want.

there’s no point.

why?

cos you wont buy me enough.

lets buy you enough of what you want.

we can’t.

why?

There’s no decent shops round here……………………….

  1. “Fine, we’ll go out tomorrow and get you a new mother” … great words from my bestest film Something to Talk About.
